CTRDL is an independent technology laboratory physically located in Simcoe, Ontario where the emphasis is on rubber compound formulation and product development.

Since 1992, CRTD has focused considerable research into compound formulation, mixing and vulcanization optimization for development of Hypalon, EPDM, NBR, HNBR, SBR, and NR molded goods, sponge products, extrusions, roll cover compounds, and latex dipped goods for large and small companies alike.

CRTD has developed proprietary processes for devulcanization and re-use of scrap rubber.

The principal of CRTD is Marvin Myhre, a chartered chemist with 40 years of experience with Dunlop Ltd., CVL Products Ltd., and as a consultant. He has extensive experience in the research and development of materials and rubber compound development.

Marvin Myhre is a full member (MCIC) of the Chemical Institute of Canada and Chair of the Rubber Chemistry Division. He is also a full member of the Association of the Chemical Profession of Ontario (Charter Chemist), a full member of the American Chemical Society and the Rubber Division, ACS. Marvin is also a member of the Ontario Rubber Group. He has been involved in organizing Educational Seminars for the rubber industry for the Canadian Society for Chemistry Rubber chemistry division for the past 12-15 years. He is also involved in organizing recycling symposia and presented papers.

CRTD is supported by associates with broad experience in the rubber industry. Duncan MacKillop, and associate, is a professional engineer with 45 years of experience with Polysar Ltd., Dunlop Ltd., and as a consultant. He has developed patented rubber medical products, and has been extensively involved in technology transfer and litigation support.
